Why did Maserati name this grand touring car after the North American country? According to Maserati, the name Mexico was chosen because “the 5000GT that served as its prototype was once owned by Mexican president Adolfo López Mateos.”
Noted to be one of only 485 ever produced, this Maserati Mexico is also said to be a numbers-matching example.
