Citroën only made 29 ZX Rallye Raids, and only nine in the Evo 3 spec. This Evo 3 won the 1995 Atlas Rally with the legendary Ari Vatanen behind the wheel.
Vatanen–whose career includes a World Championship Rally driver’s title in 1981 and the 1997 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies championship–isn't the only notable driver in the Citroën's history. Hubert Auriol, who was the first competitor to win the Dakar rally on a motorcycle and in an automobile, also drove the ZX Rallye Raid.
The manufacturer owned this example until 2014, when it was acquired by its current owner.
