Wait,” you say to yourself, “a 1989 ZR-1? Wasn’t the C4 ZR-1 only available starting in 1990?” Yes, the ZR-1 didn’t officially go on sale until the 1990 model year, though some 84 examples were produced for 1989.

Although none were intended for the general public, a few seem to have slipped through the cracks.

Such is the case for this ZR-1, which currently shows 34,463 miles on its odometer.

The red interiors back then were really red. Wow.

In reply to J.A. Ackley :

I say if you have an interior color option other than black or gray, I say go for it.

I think an underrated way to spec a car is to go for a subtle exterior paint color and then a loud interior color scheme.
