AW11 Toyota MR2 1989 red for sale Jackson MS mine

Okay here it is and it's for sale.  I just don't have time, space, funds or the drive for so many cars.  I should've learned this lesson long ago, but sometimes I'm a slow learner....  I want to focus on the rallycross Subaru and drag and drive Camaro.  I also want to do my restomod OBS and I need a lift!  
 

This car is and could be $2000 challenge eligible easily.  The FMV on AW11 parts is insanely high.  Price consoles, door panels, seats, consoles, window regulators etc.  I have the car as challenge value of $1700 as it sits without the nitrous kit installed.  I'm keeping the kit and almost everything else is for sale.

You can buy the car as is and pay roughly FMV for all else plus buy my new Falken 615 Azeris tires which would include the Kosie K1s. We can itemize it all for a challenge entry.  I have it fairly documented.  It'd be $3500 this way for car and parts.  If you want it on the MRS wheels with everything including the harness and T3 harness bar (not installed), I can do $2750. If you want it without the Momo seat and track with stock seats, no harness bar and no harness, I can probably do $2000 even.  Have ideas, we can talk?  Do you have a good truck 5.3 and good 4L60E combo for my OBS? we can talk.  Do you have a gen2 LT1 or LT4?  Let's talk.

Recent photos (late August)

One headlight motor is currently inoperable.  Car smokes on startup.  I think it's valve stem seals.  I have new ones from the PO, new coolant hoses and some oil filters.  All that goes with the car.  Car seems to run and drive fine, but I have not driven it a lot.  I can meet within 3 hrs of Jackson MS (Memphis. Shreveport, New Orleans, Birmingham).  I have a tow vehicle and trailer to accommodate.  I'm keeping my TX antique car plate.  Car has a clean TX title in my name.  Car has around 134k miles on it.  
 

When you have a chance, would you check the date code on the tires on the MRS wheels? 

Might I suggest that you sell the budget exempt items seperate from the car?

I'm interested in the car and would be looking at none of the racecar parts for as cheap as possible

That would be how the receipt would be broken up if needed for a challenge attempt.  It seems most want to restore it though,

That's 2k with the drivers seat put back and all the factory parts in boxes and the maintenance items.

Are there pictures of what the interior currently looks like?  I looked through the last several pages of the build thread and didn't see it.

Are you in Jackson proper? I'm interested but have to work out some logistics.

It's just like the photos in the build threads.  Factory dash everything else removed with Momo race seat (fixed) and stock passenger seat.  It's bare and all the parts are in boxes.  


 

like the above with race door panels and the seat is further forward, and the harness bar is in the passenger seat.

How do these fit a 6'3" individual (34" inseam) and would it survive a fly and drive back to NC? I'd be interested in just the car and stock parts, none of the race stuff.

I don't know, and I don't know.  It seems to run and drive fine.  A very long idle once since I had to jump start it resulted in no overheating.  Stationary is about as hard as you can be on a cooling system.

Car had 163K on it.  My Camaro is 183, and my OBS is 13x.

Lots of general interest so far.  If it sells it sells.  If not I'm pulling the T tops and taking kiddo for a country drive.  She laments the sale of my last convertible.

Car is 99% sold.  I will have some T3 parts and a race seat for sale later, or I may keep the seat and harness.  

On that 1% chance its not sold, I would like to be next for the car.

There is a line of one ahead of you if that happens.  I honestly think it's sold and I need the space for other projects.
