A brave soul to DD this, but it looks in great shape. I really like the use of Roman numerals to throw off the Bots and Scammers! That's a new one for me.

Hey...maybe he has a family member that runs a tow company and can get tows cheap. Or he likes to push his car as much as drive it.

Maybe "daily driver" means "during Corona."

You know, while working from home and having groceries delivered, etc.  Yes, perfect daily driver for a "stay at home order"

That should be Maserati's (well, all Italian marques') new marketing campaign!

Maybe he trains for one of those strongman competitions. Even AAA only gives two tows per year, these days.

I'd like to formally start an argument in here that the maserati motor is cheaper and easier to make 300 road race reliable HP with than a BBC.

Oh lord.  And I thought I held weirdo grudges over nothing.

About the actual car in this thread, it looks good from here!  It would be interesting to hear from the owner what they do to keep it as useful as possible.

My truck has no AC.

It is not fun, no sir.

Edit: The phone number begins "813-727" or am I looking at something wrong?  Cause 813 is the Tampa area code, and 727 is the St Pete area code.  I kind of wonder if that number actually goes anywhere.

You are right,  BBC is a superb piece of engineering that is perfection itself which cannot be improved on, and should be shoved into any and every platform.

Who needs such gimmicks as overhead cams, VVT and turbos?  Nope, good old overweight, low-tech 60-70 hp/liter is superior in every way.  Handling?  Who needs handling when you carry a 700 lb lump of iron?

So, yeah, you're right.  Go BBC.

I've always sort of liked the body on them - looks like a nicer version of my '82 Corolla.

The Lounge Lizard interior is definitely off-putting to me.

But is it better than a v12 jag? smiley (I know, I know. I can find the door!)

And why is “person known as unpronounceable symbol “  ( oh, wait. Is that Prince? ) screaming and cursing at you?

That lounge lizard interior is an extremely comfortable place to sit while you wait for the tow truck.

Silly me.  I was still thinking of that as a car.

In that case, it needs one of those big new touchscreens in the middle of the dash.  Then you could stream netflix while waiting for the tow-truck!

If you go that route, you have to buy and dd a biturbo for 180 days straight with no AAA.

How hard would it be to completely replace all the unreliable parts with nice American muscle car suspension and drivetrain?

Who am I kidding, of course it would be a nightmare.

But I love those body lines. Someone make a kit car of this.

I'd like to put an Ecoboost V6 in one of these. Twin turbo V6, so it's appropriate.

I love the styling. But not enough to follow through.
