Today I Learned (TIL)

TIL everything has an angle and everything will piss off somebody.  I was miffed, annoyed, surprised (?) maybe not, at the speculation of a ban.  Another example of inconveniencing the many to appease the few.  Apologies and I will be more careful in the future.

Huh! I didn't know that. TIL. But it's only kinda, because it's also a person, Polly Jean Harvey, and after the "band" PJ Harvey broke up in 1993, the person PJ Harvey kept releasing music under the name PJ Harvey. So kinda both?

And with that, I find there's some PJ Harvey I need to catch up to!

Today (well actually Saturday) I learned that I can haul full sheets of plywood in the wife's honda odyssey if I take the back seats out. That's handy.

TIL that "upcycled grain" is a thing.  You can eat a sandwich made with U10 bread while filling your car with E85 gas or B20 diesel.

The grocery store had quite a few loaves of it on the bakery rack of "please buy this stuff cheap otherwise we have to throw it out tomorrow", which seems like some unfortunate irony.

Freightliner assembled or produced Unimogs under license.

I have something similar to that from Ryobi, but in addition to the usb ports it has a low powered 120v inverter and small flashlight.  It was nice to have down at the challenge to charge my phone and other gadgets without having to run my car's engine.

Dewalt made a light with ports like you are talking about. I'm not seeing it on the web but I have one in my junkyard bag

Freightliner is part owned by Daimler so they just brought them in and sold them under the plate.

Prior to that you could buy them at the CASE IH dealer as a tractor outfitted with any PTO driven attachment you wanted.
