Filling in the shoes of chief judge at Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is no small task. The first judge was legendary Corvette, Datsun and Shelby man Peter Brock, followed by William Jeanes, who held the position for 15 years. Now, as Jeanes steps down, David Schultz is stepping up.
Schultz is a life-long enthusiast and is currently very involved in the automotive community. He’s the president of the Classic Car Club of America and a trustee of two other clubs. “I look forward to judging under him, knowing that he will be less abrasive to work with than I ever was,” Jeanes said.
Elsewhere in the Amelia structure, N. Mark Becker has been appointed Vice Chairman. Bill Warner, the founder and chairman of Amelia Island Concours, says Becker understands that Amelia is meant to be “the fun concours.” Becker will fill a new management position.
