This 1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra has had quite the life. Started out as a press car. Featured with Elvis in a movie. Campaigned by a Formula 1 driver in races. Where should we begin?
CSX 3011 began its life as a press car. The Shelby graced the cover of the November 1965 issue of Sports Car Graphic. It then went on the Shelby Cobra Caravan publicity tour across the U.S.
After promotional duty, it went to work for MGM Studios for the filming of Spinout, with Elvis Presley. If you’re an Elvis fan and missed out buying one of his former jets, this might be your chance for redemption.

In 1966, CSX 3011 was sold to Formula 1 driver Moisés Solana Arciniega. Solana campaigned it several times in his native Mexico and the U.S. until he tragically passed away competing with a different car while in a hillclimb event in 1969.
