This makes me wish I was there. Maybe next year.

Was stationed with one of the CU guys as a corner worker. Their advisor (or someone) determined that the windshield frame was not sufficient protection in the event of a rollover, so the 2" above the driver's head line determined it go there.
It was their team from last year's effort, he said the team this year had plans to tackle it and make it more appropriate.

thanks, that definitely clarifies a number of things; and I can certainly understand the interpretation they've made. It'll be interesting to watch that car develop (hopefully).

Thanks for posting this. Looks like two cars from the Bad Decisions Triangle in the top three. Smart money has one of those for the win. Good luck guys

If I'd known that you were one of the concourse judges, I would have gone with a squid game livery.
I'm enjoying the pictures and updates, please keep them coming. Wish I could see it all in person this year.
Congrats to all the winners of awards and all of the entrants as a whole.
I just heard from Laura that the celica made a very good showing and it makes me happy to see the old girl still kicking.
I'll see you all next year

awesome, congrats y'all!
and, as tb said, congrats to everyone that made it down at all!
Like usual, I was too busy talking to people & in general awe, but I did get a few pics.
Chris adding his pro touch to the graphics
Gotta love that engine offset!
The painters tape graphics turned out surprisingly well.
This pretty much sums up the spirit of the event.
I love the name & logo on the Celica!
I never figured out which team this was, but they did a cool art-car type motif.
I was lucky enough to get a fun-run in nocone's LMP360. It's brutal, and I can't even imagine what it'll be like once he has it sorted!
For reference that orange and grey thing outside the windshield above my knees is the view looking up at the back of a camp chair.
The art car is a returning car from last year. A college team ran it and apparently didn't return this year, after the Challenge they then auctioned the car off.
I'm just home, I'm going to decompress and then pull pictures from my big camera and start editing them to make them suitable for posting
In reply to Mr_Asa :
Thanks do much for all you posted already. It really helps with the "withdrawal " of not being there.

Hey man, if I can help make it a bit better for you guys I'm glad to. Someone will do the same when the day comes that I can't go.
Ok, some pics from my actual camera. It was berkeleying up somehow and wasn't focusing properly so easily half of them didn't come out which is several steps beyond frustrating.
I tweaked these a bunch, probably too much.
This was just before Alan headed out for the best time F-Dat did
Riggamort's only Autocross "run"
And finally, my favorite pic series. First time I've done one of these, so if anyone wants the RAW files for a better attempt I will be happy to provide them.
I give you "Eater of Cones"

I give you "Eater of Cones"
Ate the cone and erased the box it sat in. I felt like the dumbest corner worker in the world running around trying to find a missing chalk box for a missing cone while everyone yelled at me.
Did the scales make an appearance during concours this year? It would be really interesting to know the competition weight of some of the crazier vehicles.

There might not have been a box. We ran out of chalk & didn't mark several of the outside corner walls of cones, especially closer to the finish.
